An experienced political organizer and new media specialist, Chandra Allard currently serves as Massachusetts State Treasurer Steven Grossman’s deputy communications director. She is responsible for handling press inquiries and managing the office’s strategy for the website and other new communications media.
Allard recently moved to the communications post after serving as Special Assistant to the Chief of Staff since the inception of the Grossman administration in 2011. In that capacity, she managed the office’s constituent relations operations and established policies and procedures to implement the Treasurer’s mandate for an efficient, “customer-facing” response to public inquiries.
Prior to joining the Treasurer’s office, Allard assisted in the statewide field organization of numerous Massachusetts political campaigns, including Grossman’s successful campaign for Treasurer where she rapidly rose in rank to deputy field director. She attended Michigan State University and was elected to two terms as Communications Director of the Michigan State University Democrats. Allard also worked as a legislative aide to Representative Mark Meadows, a Michigan legislator and Assistant Leader of the House of Representatives.
Allard lives in Quincy, Massachusetts.
