Melody Adams is an award-winning marketing, communications, and community relations professional, with extensive experience in media relations, event planning, community organizing and grass-roots political campaigns. Melody is committed to educating, motivating, and inspiring others to become civically engaged in meaningful causes that empower communities and improve their quality of life. As an active member of the Democratic Party, Melody has made significant contributions to several successful local and national campaigns, including Obama for America, Patrick/Murray 2010, and the U.S. 2010 Census. Melody has been recognized by The Boston Globe for “her integrity, strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.”Melody was born and raised in Boston, and currently lives in Malden, MA where she’s been an elected member of the Democratic Ward 1 Committee since 2010. Melody is also a member of Organizing for America and New England Finance and Steering Committee, the regional fundraising arm for President Obama. In 2009, Melody was appointed to Governor Patrick’s Community Organizing Leadership Team (C.O.L.T.) and his Finance Committee. Melody is a graduate and member of The Commonwealth Seminar, the Marketing Chair of the Greater Boston Chapter of Blacks in Government (BIG), the Media Chair of The Urban League’s Community Advisory Committee (CAC), and a 2011 Fellow in The Partnership, Inc.
