Ethel Stafford
Ethel is the Manager for the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) Partnerships Matching Funds Program in the Office of External Affairs and Partnerships. Prior to joining the Commonwealth, Ethel worked for Bank of America (Fleet Bank) for eleven years working on various initiative projects with a focus on Diversity Development.
She received her Associates Degree from New England Banking Institute a/k/a New England College of Finance. She is also a graduate and Class Valedictorian of the Bard College Clemente Course in the Humanities. After completing the Clemente Course, she enrolled in the Harvard Extension School, where she is pursuing a Bachelor's Degree.
Ethel has done extensive volunteer work for her church, The United House of Prayer for All People, where she has been a member for 38 years. She also serves on the Board of the Franklin Park Coalition. Her community work, through The United House of Prayer for All People, has been to coordinate special events, including the Voter's League. The church's Voter's League seeks to educate and encourage members of the community to register and become responsible participants in the American democratic process.
She has also serviced the Boston congregation of The United House of Prayer for All People by coordinating multiple community service projects through the church's Coalition of Concerned Citizens committee and has worked with establishing a partnership with the Franklin Park Coalition for future activities.
Ethel is married, with a daughter and son and five granddaughters.
