Suzanne Bremer

Project Coordinator, Global Development & Environment Institute

Suzanne Bremer is the vice chair of the Somerville Democratic Ward 3 Committee.  A committed community leader, she serves on the board of Community Action Agency of Somerville, one of the city’s leading anti-poverty organizations, and Union Square Main Streets, a non-profit that fosters small business development in her neighborhood, and on the School Improvement Council at the John F. Kennedy Elementary School in Somerville. A former member of AFSCME Local 3092, she is now active in the Tufts Employee Association.  She has also been a visiting writer at the William Joiner Center for the Study of War and Social Consequences at University of Massachusetts, Boston, and at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown.  Suzanne is a graduate of Pine Manor College, Boston University and the Graduate School of Library and Information Science at Simmons College.  Currently she is project coordinator at the Global Development and Environment Institute at Tufts University.
