My name is Natasha Megie-Maddrey, I am from Lynn MA. I am married and have 4 children ages 9-17.  I graduated from South Boston High School. I received my Bachelors degree from Regis college and my law degree from New England School of Law. I am also a local attorney and I am running for school committee in 2017.

District/Constituent Services Director, State Sen. Spilka

Puja Mehta is the District and Constituent Services Director for Senator Karen E. Spilka from 2nd Middlesex and Norfolk, after serving as her law fellow.  She graduated from Loyola University in Chicago with a B.B.A. in Finance and was awarded the School of Business Leadership Award.  Puja was a law intern for the Illinois Cook County State’s Attorney Richard Devine’s office.  She served as Asian American Liaison, Grants Director and Internship Coordinator for U.S. Senator Richard J. Durbin in Chicago, Illinois, and subsequently, worked in the Senator’s Whip office in Washington, D.C.

President, College Democrats of Massachusetts

A native of Belmont, Kate Moore is a junior at Smith College studying Government and Education and Child Studies. Kate worked on her first political campaign her senior year of high school as a summer field intern and then as GOTV staff on Hillary Clinton’s Presidential Campaign in New Hampshire. In April 2010, Kate was unanimously elected President of the College Democrats of Massachusetts and President of the Smith College Democrats.

MA State Director and co-founder, FUNTOSALUD International

Maria Moreno (Jamaica Plain) is a Dominican native and has been residing in Boston, MA for the past 20 years.  She is an alumna of the Latino Leadership Opportunity Program at the Gaston Institute for Public Policy and Community Research. Since 2008, she has been the MA State Director and co-founder for FUNTOSALUD International, a non profit organization that organizes humanitarian volunteer led missions to the border towns between the Dominican Republic and Haiti to deliver aid and provide medical attention to the communities in need.

Campaign Specialist

Rebecca Morey Jordan joins Emerge with more than a decade of campaign field experience in Newburyport and Amesbury.  She worked to help elect Lisa Mead, the first woman mayor of Newburyport. She was town coordinator for Governor Patrick’s and President Obama’s historic campaigns, and she served as campaign manager for Mayor Thatcher Kezer’s campaigns in 2007 and 2009. Rebecca was born and raised in the Commonwealth, attending Triton Regional High School in Newbury.  She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

Judy Neufeld is an alumna of the Emerge Massachusetts Class of 2009. Before starting as the Executive Director of Emerge Massachusetts in February 2010, she was the Manager of Recruitment and Community Partnerships at Big Sister Association of Greater Boston, the largest and oldest mentoring organization in Greater Boston exclusively serving girls.Over the three years at Big Sister, Judy built relationships with corporations, universities, and community organizations to recruit thousands of women to serve as volunteer mentors to girls.

Charlotte began her career teaching at an international school, where she worked with students and families from over 40 countries. She also taught K-5 special education for two years on the Navajo Nation in New Mexico with Teach For America. Outraged by the inequalities that her students faced, Charlotte began organizing, first around education issues with Stand for Children in Massachusetts and then as deputy field director on Suzanne Lee’s campaign for Boston City Council.

Candidate for Register of Deeds

Mary Olberding (Belchertown) is a life-long champion of Democratic politics.  She most recently worked tenaciously for two years on Dave Sullivan’s successful campaign for District Attorney.  In addition to serving on the Core Leadership Team, she Co-Chaired the Fundraising Committee and served as the Belchertown Town Coordinator where she lives. Mary currently serves her community on the Finance Committee.  She has been a delegate to the State Democratic Convention for the past four years and was a volunteer at the 2008 National Democratic Convention in Denver.

Rev. Linda Parham (Worcester) received her Master of Organizational Communication and B.S in Business Management from Clark University, Master of Divinity from Andover Newton Theological School, Doctor of Ministry in Complex Urban Studies from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary concentrating in urban youth and young adult ministry, and a Certificate in Women Politics and Public Policy from UMass-Boston.

Public School Teacher & Consultant

Sheneal Parker (Boston) has been teaching in the Boston Public School System as a Substitute, Gym, First Grade, and Resource Room Teacher for 9 years. She holds a BS in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University, a Master's of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master’s in Public Administration from Suffolk University.  Sheneal currently serves on the Fenway Community Development Corp. Board of Directors, Community Advisory Board for Children's Hospital and Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Natick Town Meeting

Deborah Parritt has been active in her community since moving to Natick ten years ago.  She is currently a member of the Natick Democratic Town Committee and a delegate to the Democratic State Convention.  As a volunteer for political campaigns, Deborah has worked for local selectmen and housing authority candidates. She also worked for candidates on the state level and volunteered for the Martha Coakley campaign for the United States Senate.

Krina currently serves as Senior Associate of Government Affairs on the legal team at athenahealth, where she coordinates all aspects of state and federal lobbying at the growing health information technology company. Prior to that, she served as Director of Legislative and Political Affairs at MassEquality, the leading LGBTQ advocacy organization in the state, where she worked on legislation relative to increasing access to health care for the transgender community.

Thu Pham is a public health professional and grassroots community activist with over 20 years of experience in perinatal care, health education services help to ensure the best possible outcomes for mothers, babies, and their families. As the project coordinator for the Vietnamese Health Program at Mercy Medical Center, she is responsible for facilitating and overseeing the delivery of high standard programs and access to quality preventative health care and health education throughout the Pioneer Valley in Massachusetts.

Elizabeth Platt: A New York native, Elizabeth moved to Boston in 2007 where she was accepted for admission to the Women in Politics and Public Policy Program at the University of Massachusetts.   During her time with the program, Elizabeth gained an internship in the office of Representative Alice Wolf (D-Cambridge), one of the state’s leading progressive legislators.   For over a year, She has been with Representative Peter Koutoujian (D-Waltham) who is the House Chairman of the Joint Committee on Financial Services.
